Carrie Soper, M.A., LPC, PLPC, EMDR

Hi, I’m Carrie.

I’m a Psychotherapist, Writer, and Speaker. I’m also a mom, friend, and daughter.

The art of “healing” has become my soul’s passion. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The University of Saint Mary and am licensed in Kansas (LPC) and Missouri (PLPC). I am a trauma-informed therapist and am professionally trained through EMDRIA in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

The more I learn, the more gratitude I have for creating a career where compassion is the compass guiding my passion. I blend my formal training with my own life experiences to help women of all ages define and discover their own extraordinary stories.

  • Psychotherapist

I became a therapist because I want to help women of all ages discover and define their own extraordinary stories. My therapy practice blends a variety of methods to find what best suits your needs and your unique life. From anxiety and depression to processing past trauma and life circumstances, my therapeutic methodologies involve many tools to help you on your healing journey. This work is an overflowing from my heart — the desire to equip and encourage you as you write the story you want to live.

  • Writer

Throughout my life, I have found comfort and clarity in writing. I tend to prefer the old-fashioned way — writing in a journal, using colorful pens, putting my words out in the world in physical form. Some of those words are meant just for me, as a practice to help me reflect and process my own story. Other words I like to share with the world, hoping that my words might help you find your own. See more of my writing by clicking on the Journal tab, or join me on social media for ongoing thoughts and sharing.

  • Speaker

I believe in the power of sharing our stories to create empathy, connection and inspire action. Personally, I have a big story of love, loss and learning that is unique to me, but that others connect to. Professionally, I have training to know how our stories affect how we live. I’ve presented to financial planning firms, spoken with groups of women, given a graduation commencement address, and made guest appearances on podcasts. Reach out to learn about the topics I speak on and how it can be tailored to your group.
